Michael Douglas, PhD, has joined the faculty of UAMS as director of the UAMS BioVentures and professor of biochemistry in the UAMS College of Medicine.

Douglas previously served as associate vice chancellor for research and director of the office of technology management at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to that, he held positions in private sector pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies as well as serving as professor and chairman of biochemistry and biophysics at the University of North Carolina.
