Staff Named at Arkansas Children's Hospital PULSE Center
Dr. Christopher Smith, MD, associate medical director at Arkansas Children's Hospital, recently became the medical director of the hospital's new PULSE (Pediatric Understanding and Learning through Simulation Education) Center, according to Beth Petlak, vice president of business development.
Also hired was Travis Hill as a simulation specialist.
The PULSE Center, currently under construction at Arkansas Children's Hospital and set to open in February, will be the first dedicated pediatric clinical skills/medical simulation center of its type in the United States. It will provide a multi-professional clinical environment for teaching through medical simulation using standardized patients.
Smith graduated from Mississippi College in Clinton and went to Ole Miss medical school in Jackson, while Hill is a UALR graduate.
